Behind-The-Ear (BTE)BTE hearing aids have a similar design to older analogue hearing aids, but don’t let that fool you. These units offer the most flexible, adaptable, and powerful technology available packaged in a much lighter and more streamlined case that fits snugly on your ear. Custom formed earmolds provide a more comfortable fit in your outer ear and open-canal earpieces eliminate the “plugged up” feeling some users experience. Processed sound arrives in the earpiece through discrete acoustic tubing. Easy adjustment with simple controls allows you to adjust program settings and the volume level to match your environment. |

Behind-The-Ear (BTE)

Receiver-in-Canal (RIC)RITE hearing aids are a modification of BTE devices, which provide a comfortable, open-fit design suited for nearly all types of hearing loss. The technology in RITE devices is housed in a hard plastic shell that sits comfortably on the ear, but the speaker of the instrument is incorporated in the ear tip, instead of in the main body of the instrument. Similar to the Mini BTE, they are smaller, lighter weight, but pack more powerful technology to serve those with a mild to severe hearing loss. |

In-The-Ear (ITE)ITE instruments place BTE and RITE technology inside a hard plastic shell, which is molded to the unique contours of your outer ear canal. Full-shell in-the-ear technology produces powerful, clear sound for all degrees of treatable hearing loss and is a good choice for individuals who wear glasses or use an oxygen cannula because there is no interference behind the ears. Ease of adjustment, larger batteries with a longer life, rechargeability, and device connectivity as well as a variety of sizes, color options, and customizable controls are features of ITE devices. |

In-The-Canal (ITC)ITC hearing aids are smaller versions of ITE devices. They are custom-molded to fit further into the ear canal rather than take up the larger outer ear area. They provide the same benefits enjoyed by ITE users who wear glasses, an oxygen cannula, or hats. ITC devices allow you to be a bit more active because they fit more snugly and stay put while offering more wearing discretion. Individuals with all types of treatable hearing loss can benefit from this style, which includes the capacity to customize external controls to fit your needs. |

Completely-In-The-Canal (CIC)Going deeper, CIC devices are molded to fit deeper into the ear canal than ITC devices. They use a tiny clear plastic post for placement and removal, which requires some fine-dexterity, but they still pack some powerful technology. Subtle, comfortable, and discreet, CIC devices provide a snug fit that’s ideal for activity-filled days with friends and family.
